Ian A. Stewart is a writer, editor, and communications professional living in the Bay Area. His first paid assignment was from Hustler magazine. Seriously. Since then, his written work has appeared in various magazines, newspapers, and websites covering arts and culture, sports, politics, health, and business. He is formerly the articles editor, A+E editor, and managing editor for San Francisco Magazine. (All at once!)
Since then, he’s worked at a few different communications and content-marketing shops—currently as editorial director for the Masons of California. (Again, seriously!) See some recent comms work for the Masons here, and some favorite Mason-related clips here). He’s also worked for the Emerson Collective, Diablo Publications (including jobs for the San Francisco Giants, Oakland A’s, UC Hastings Law, San Diego Law, Ochsner Health, and more), Original 9 Media, Byliner, the Santa Cruz Sentinel, and the Watsonville Register-Pajaronian.
